Reasons and resolutions for camera binding failure
- Find a Wi-Fi network with a strong signal and correctly input the password to quickly connect The following reason may cause failure to connect to the camera:
- 1. Check to make sure the camera's blinking green light is normal;
- If the camera's light is not green and blinking, gently insert a pin into the [SET] hole, until the light starts blinking green.
- 2. Check to see if the camera's firmware is outdated.
- Insert a pin into the [SET] hole. If you hear a "Welcome to 360 HomeGuard" audio notification, it means that the camera still has the old HomeGuard firmware, and can't be bound to the 360 Smart Camera software. A TF card must be used to download new firmware, and manually upgrade the camera. When you hear "Welcome to the 360 Smart Camera", it means you have successfully upgraded.

- It is likely a mistake in the Wi-Fi account or password that is keeping the camera from connecting. Also keep in mind that some devices to not support Wi-Fi names with Chinese characters.
- 4. See if it is the router settings that has caused the binding failure
- (1) Router security settings
If the router that your camera is connecting to has any security measures (like whitelists, MAC address filtering, etc.), the camera won't be able to connect to the internet. These measures need to be removed in order to connect. - (2) Router set to use 5GHz frequency band
The camera currently does not support connecting to Wi-Fi over a 5GHz frequency band. Open your router's management page (typically written on a sticker on the bottom of the router),and enabled the 2.4GHz wireless setting. - (3) The cameras currently do not support WPA or WPA2 enterprise-class Wi-Fi;
- (4) If your home connection is bridged, the network connection may be very unstable, we suggest that you use an unbridged connection;
- 5. Check to see if you have enabled data, WLAN, and GPS permissions for your 360 Smart Camera.
- Chinese-made Andoid phones may prohibit the 360 Smart Camera from using data, WLAN, and GPS permissions, meaning the camera will be unable to connect to the Wi-Fi network. Solution (for Android phones): Open the phone's settings center > choose "app management" > locate the 360 Smart Camera > choose "permissions management" > "allow Wi-Fi", "allow mobile network", "allow GPS".
